About KHS Project Grad 2017

Project Graduation is a fully self-supporting program which is entirely funded through the Class of 2017 parents, donations from supportive businesses, the Kailua-Waimanalo Community, and several fundraising events which are held throughout the school year.

Kailua High School is one of many schools across the nation where parents and students are working together to plan a supervised, substance-free all night graduation celebration.

Project Graduation is a nationally recognized program started by MADD to provide a celebration for the graduating class on the night of their commencement ceremony, in a safe, drug- and alcohol-free environment.

The evening we are planning will be filled with many activities, prizes and gifts for the graduates attending. Food and beverages will be served throughout the night. Breakfast will be served before the event’s conclusion.

Key points:

  • All graduates need to be picked up in the morning (No one, not even chaperones, will be allowed to drive home)

  • The larger the number of participating students, the safer a greater number of them will be

  • Your help and support is needed

  • Pay early to save money (click here for fee information)
